Objectdock acting up

Something's up with Objectdock for my computer. A window opens stating:
Objectdock has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Corky O, I checked in the folder you described, but I found no cache folder.

The cache can be hard to find. You have to find a folder named Stardock. You can't load OD at all? If you can why don't you try a new clean dock and see if it still crashes. It might be one of the docklets. Try eliminating them one by one. Most times I've had trouble clearing the cache solved it but as I said it can be tricky the first time finding it. You must follow Corly O's directions in order to do it. Good luck!

Sorry, busy day at work.
I tried to use the "url link" button function to link to my mini tutorial which has pictures last night, to no avail.
The url is http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?AID=82461
If the code here does not creat a link, just copy and paste into your browser address bar.
When you load ObjectDock, it writes a cache which contains the ".ini" files used to load the current theme again when called.
Hopefully the tutorial will be clear and help you.

I have had this problem too. Try this Run > %userprofile%/Local Settings/Application Data/Stardock...in this folder there will be several folders, delete all Object Dock folders (i.e. OD Plus and OD free version if installed). There is no actual folder named Cache.

I guess I need to be more specific.
As shown in the tutorial, there has never been a folder named "Cache". This is just the function of the various folders found inside the Stardock folder in the tutorial.
Therefore, any Stardock program that writes a cache has a folder bearing the program's name - i.e., DesktopX, ObjectDock, CursorXP.
Deleting the folder for the relevant program will remove the cached settings (or user preferences) and force the program to load with the default settings.

rkk03, I would like to help, but I'm really not an expert. I'm sure that when Corky O has time he'll advise you as to proper action. Until then, I would not try to loak a previously themed dock. I did this and kept running into the same problem. Basically, I deleted all my .ini files located in c:\Program Files\ObjectDock\Themes...this is where your saved themes are. After I deleted the themes, I started from scratch and saved the themes all over again. Good luck!

I just wanted to say you should probably not delete the Default .ini, only your saved themes. Just FYI

In this case you would save your theme > unload ObjectDock > delete the ObjectDock (or ObjectDock Plus) "cache" folder found in "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" folder.
Note - you may need to go to "Folder Options > View tab" and select "Show hidden files and folders" if you can't see the "Local Settings" folder above.
