Icon X up to something

Tuesday, June 13, 2006 by suniart | Discussion: OS Customization

HELP PLEASE! When Icon X isn't on my computer, there's a big white square that's in the upper left corner of my screen. When it is on, some specific wallpapers don't appear on my screen. If anyone knows what's wrong, please help !

right click desktop = arrange icons by - if lock desktop web items is checked, uncheck it.

Sir Bichur, when Icon X is on for me, the "arange icons" menu is not there. When Icon X isn't on, it appears, but the "lock desktop web items" is unchecked. I think there's another reason

tis the most current.

can you load a screenshot?

(the shot will need to be uploaded to a host site such as photobucket, imageshack, etc., - both of those are free, plus there are others - then copy the http url generated and paste that into the box here when you click image.)

?

I saw a box like that before, when I Norton.

I assume you 'web' tab is empty?

If you go in the long way...does locking, apply, unlocking, apply have any effect?

right click refresh?

show desktop icons? then unshow desktop icons?

I found out the problem. In the web section of the desktop items, "Desktop Uninstall" was checked. That was the reason the white square was in the upper left corner of my screen. Also, I found out the reason why Icon X didn't work. It doesn't allow bitmap files to load as wallpapers (which I'm kinda mad about ). Many thanks, Sir Bichur!
