MSN Contact Widget?

If anyone has ever used MSN Plus! then you would know it has the ability to display any contact on the desktop in a little window. I was wondering if a desktopX widget could be created to do this same thing. Except maybe have it like this:
It could hopefully auto update. I know there is a gadget that does this, but it shows ALL the contacts, which is not a good thing
. If it could be configurable for right click, left click, double click and middle click it would be even better.
So is this possible? And would anyone be willing to point me in the right direction on how to make this
? I was trying to find out how the gadget/object dock widget did this...
There are a few programs I have found that can display the msn contacts, so I know it is possible... just not sure if a widget can do it.
