Wallpaper not good enough

So the other day I submitted my first wall paper. I got an email the next day saying it was turned down. I thought it was good, and so did my other friend who comes to this site for wallpaper. Anyway, if thats the case can you just point me in the right direction on what to improve? Oh and please just put it on your desk top before you rate it. Here it is:

Pretend that photoshop [and/or its equivalent] doesn't have filters.
Posterize....negative....burn...lens flare...all things to think twice before using...
If you need critique it's preferable to do so via link, as posting the entire image here defeats the purpose of wallpaper moderation...
