My welcome, and shut down screens have changed

Do you know of a fix? Or the name of the wall?

Sunday, May 28, 2006 by TheGuyPC | Discussion: OS Customization

I have this problem that is driving me nuts. For some reason, my "welcome" screen and my "shutdown" screens have changed to what I'm assuming is a WB wall. I really don't know.

I can't take a screen shot of it (obviously), but I can describe it. The wall has blue wavy lines with 3 rings that say Microsoft Windows XP. The rings look like carved wood painted blue. They increase in size from back to front.

My computers boot sequence goes Bootskin, pic of current wall and then the one in question. After that it goes back to the wall I am using currently.

I've done everything I can think of and, searched through literally thousands of files to get rid of it to no avail.\

I haven't found it on this site either, though it would take forever to search all of the walls available.

I guess it's not a big deal, I just hate it when something changes on my computer and I have no control over it.
If you know the name of the wall or, a fix, I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh, I did have Logon Studio installed. I never used it and uninstalled it to try and fix this. That didn't work either

Thanks in advance.

That was going to be my suggestion...I had the same thing happen and uninstalling logon studio fixed it. Is it a logon screen or a bootskin ? I've had this happen if I right clicked on something on the internet and accidently " set as : whatever " without relising I did it. Before you uninstalled the logon studio did you reset it to the default ?

Yes, Sir Bichur...you have it! Or at least close. Mine doesn't have the "logon" box. What is the name of that?

Fairyy~~No, I didn't set it to default. I didn't know I should-maybe that is the problem. I'm going to re-install it and try that out.

Thanks! Maybe I'll get this figured out yet!

-Hey now! That was PO'

Fairyy~'s suggestion worked. I guess one of my kids was playing around - or, could be the Alzheimers - I don't know.

They say the memory is the second thing to go!

Thanks again.

This wasn't you? :

Now why would anyone have a problem with a Troll, a Goat and Vaseline! The Troll and the Goat are cleary "theme based" and the Vaseline just helps things go smoothly!

Heh, heh. I just assumed it was a DIFFERENT Troll!

I forgot that Trolls look out for each other

From now on...no more Troll abuse! I promise! ( well, at least not until TTDAY)

I figured out the screen, thanks.

The Trolls are our friends...the Trolls are our friends
