Is a separation of categories in order?

I've noticed a couple of extremely nice Gadgets have been submitted lately.
Would it in the realm of possibilities to have a separate category for Gadgets (which don't require desktop x), to avoid confusion?

As far as I understood...Gadgets need DesktopX and widgets don't. Not sure where the confusion is? Unless there are some gadgets that don't require DesktopX that I wasn't aware of.

DX objects- Desktop X must be installed and running to use them.
DX Widgets- Desktop X must be installed on the machine only to run them. DX does not need to be running.
DX Gadgets- Desktop X does not need to be installed to use these. They are individual exe. files that work on their own without DX installed on the machine.
DX themes are a collection of DX objects and Desktop X needs to be installed and running to use them.
