Theme Manager constantly crashes & how to update a theme?

A 2 part question really. Firstly Theme Manager 2.24.040 is always crashing. I have tried it on my home pc and my work pc and the same thing happens. When you create a new theme and try to set the sounds for Windows events you click "Browse" and the brogram dumps you back to the desktop without any explanation or error. I have NO idea what the problem is and it doesnt seem to matter which event or what you are doing in the program OR how long you are using the program. It just crashes when it likes.
Secondly does anyone know how to update a theme? I keep saving the theme incase TM crashes but there doesnt seem to be a way to update the theme onece the program crashes. Am I being REALLY thick or is there actually no way of updating a theme once you have created it?
