Why is it that Wincustomize is the only site I go to that "acts" like it is on dialup? Did the "new" servers help at all? It seems worse to me now. Any major site issues we should know about? I hope there is something. At least it would explain the "turtle" action.....

The slowdown started with a bump on 24th April. Whatever was changed then is probably the cause

In the past few days I've been getting "Service Unavailable" pages...pages not loading...When I get an update notice to a forum topic and click the email link it takes me to the home page...and I'm not getting some notices I should be getting...Usually the main page loads fairly quickly...but after that its a crap shoot clicking on anything else. The site has gotten worse pretty much since the server upgrade or whatever was going on there.
And adding to a post gets me a "Timeout Expired" page and I have to back out of the forums (which takes about 5 to 8 clicks) and then go back in to see if it was posted...sometimes yes...sometimes no.

What I do is Copy the text and just hit the refresh button to see if it posted..while waiting I take a nap, cook a meal, reply to a few dozen Emails..etc..etc.. LoL
UMM..Actually..I have noticed some improvements with the site..not in the "speed" factor, but it is obvious work is being done and some nice changes are being made..

It takes anywhere from 20 to 40 seconds to navigate from page to page in the forums and certain galleries, but not all, for me.
I also have uploaded some stuff. One thing went through moderation a couple days after the first upload, which is still sitting. (I know...5 days, not a problem if that's the reason) and another upload shows as sitting in 'Processing' for 2 days. I tried to delete them (Not happening) and tried re-uploading, but the one still shows as sitting in 'Processing'.
And finally, the email update links I get still direct me to the homepage, not the actual forum thread or skin I am being notified about.

Site seems back up to speed this morning, for how long, only the gods know. For the last several days, it has been all over the place; one minute as slow as molassis, the next very fast. When it is slow, it is really slow to the point of just signing off and hoping for better days.
Part 2.....tried to post the first part of this message for quite a while , gave up came back to the site and now will try again.

Today the site is positively flying....like greased lightening buttered on both sides.

Just dropping by...the site is fast as hell...i'm on 256 DSL and all works fine. 
T-Man must have tweaked something real quick.
On another tone...Hotmail works slow as a snail. Can't they hire T-Man over there too?

It takes my dsl about the same amount of time to load the page as to read the page with 33 posts in a thread...some days it;s like stoneblue says, and I gotta go and find something else to do for a few hours. Ok, so it's only a few minutes, but it sure feels like hours when I can d/l "SP2 redistributable" in 15 minutes and that is a 266 mb file.

In any one day it's both fast and slow....one page-load can be so fast you didn't even see it...and then the next one stalls totally....
