An internet browser that's skinnable!

For the short amount of time that I have had my own PC, I have been using Netscape browsers (Since NS 6.Something). It has always been 1-upping IE, which still doesn't even have tabbed browsing, or at least not to my knowledge. Now Netscape's new browser is more secure than ever, protecting my PC from anything from pop-ups to viruses, but that's not what this post is about. The newest browsers (8.0 & 8.1) actually support customization - you can skin your browser. In fact, you can download the SDK from Netscape at the address here.

I'm posting this mainly because, aside from one, all the downloadable skins have been created by Netscape, and I would like to see other people creating skins for the browser. I would myself, but I neither have Photoshop nor have the money to purchase it. So if like skinning and are looking for something different that no one else has done, this is just the thing for you!

Try Firefox, you'll be happy you did..

As far as "skinning" the browsers..you have been able to get Netscape to "skin" since nav 4 just by adjusting a few settings..

Just thought to let you in on some info that you dont seem to be aware of...

I don't think you read my whole post (or maybe you just read the heading) because you don't understand what I'm saying; I'm not talking about changing a few settings. I'm saying you can go in to Photoshop and use the SDK to skin the browser. Yes, you can skin everything about the browser. If you really weren't just looking for someone to brand as ignorant and spend a minute of your time making yourself feel better, you would have checked out the link and realized what I was talking about. And I have tried the latest Firefox browser; I wasn't that impressed. It might be better, I'm not saying that. I just like the feel of the Netscape browser better.

Just thought I'd let you in on some info that you don't seem to be aware of...

And for future posts, please don't post to tell me how ignorant I am. All I want are your thoughts about being able completely skin a browser (not just changing the settings), and/or if anyone would be interested in skinning it. And please, at least check out the link.

Dude, relax, Communication can be very difficult though text. DZ didn't disregard your post, he just pointed out that "skinning" (to some degree) has been available for a long time.

Thanks for the new info though. I'll stick with Firefox's Mozilla engine at home or IE at work.
