Systray and Taskbar problem.

Tuesday, April 25, 2006 by Alex Albright | Discussion: DesktopX

So I started messing around with Desktop X earlier today, and finally settled on a theme that I liked. I start editing it to what I needed exactly when I noticed that the systray and taskbar areas weren't working properly. Occassionally a item would pop up in the taskbar box, but nothing ever appeared in the system tray box.

I went through the posts and found one reference to this, but since I'm new to all of this, I wasn't too sure what was meant by it. One person mentioned this "SDC - tools - settings - general - enable MCP notification area support = do you have it checked?" when another person asked. Like I said, I don't have a clue in the world as to where that setting would be, or even where to start looking.

Any sort of help or advice would be much appreciated. So far I really enjoy Desktop X, it's just the lack of the system tray that's bothering me really.

Have you installed Stardock central? https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/

Afteryou install that use the steps in your post. All should be well.
