Object Dock background request

I'm not that good at making them, but I know how to make them, but maybe cool designers like WebGizmos, Gooberbean28, and many other great skinners can help us out here, so if you would like one just tell us!

But it isn't always an issue of whether or not people only want one or the other. People may be interested in both but get bored of searching the gallery after the first 10 or 20 pages and then move onto another gallery. And at times you see almost an entire page that is one type of icon done by one person but uploaded as individual files instead of in a single .dockzip. Granted I have seen some sets of backgrounds uploaded the same way but it happens alot less often.
I think if they were to make certain rules about how you can upload things to the gallery it would cut down on the problem of backgrounds getting buried under icons. But even with doing that you still usually see alot more icons than backgrounds.
And how would making a separate gallery for backgrounds be any different then having 3 DX galleries? The reason for those individual galleries is because although made for the same program they have completely different functions, right? So OD backgrounds and OD icons are the same situation.

I can sense your sarcasm...("Well I'm laying it on pretty thick") I never really cared for Zebras anyhow...

Zubaz...its not a matter of protest...no point in that...like I said...its been made clear already that a library for dock backgrounds supporting OD+ isn't going to happen...so I don't have to be told twice about that...its been made clear...got it!
Really....theres no point in going over this over and over again...I've brought it up and asked enough times to know where we stand as dock creators...I get it. I'm not having a hissy fit or anything else like that...I'm a big enough boy to see where things stand. And I assure you I'll continue making backgrounds...simply because I enjoy doing them for myself...but I'm just having a hard time seeing the point anymore in uploading all the work I do on these...and supporting OD+ so they can get buried. And I don't know if I'll really remove anything or not yet...at the moment I just don't see the point of taking up the room if no ones going to see them. Maybe I'll just fade away like an old dock star...who knows.
And sure, I have a small following of people that like what I do and I've had a lot of downloads...but if you monitored my downloads lately...you'd see that they drop off as soon as the latest backgrounds are buried by icon/pngs images. I'd have to say that the majority of what I've uploaded gets none at all anymore...because who the hell wants to wade through a ton of icons/pngs to look for backgrounds? And filtering?...the drive by downloaders aren't going to take the time to figure out they can filter anything...and they shouldn't have to. When I think OD+...I don't know about you....but I think backgrounds...not icon/pngs!
Its like this (and this is the last time I'll say it)...When I go to the WindowBlinds library I know I'll find WindowBlinds because the main WindowBlinds site advertises WindowBlinds...when I go to the Iconpackager library I know I'll find Icon Packages because the main Iconpackager site advertises Iconpackages....and the OD+ site advertises OD+ tabbed backgrounds and side docks...(since without them your icons/pngs would be just floating on your screen)...and when I go to the OD+ library I know I'll find...wait...Misc Icons/Pngs!?...no...wait...I thought this was for backgrounds?...apparently not since I see more icons/pngs than anything else! Get the point? When you go buy a car...which uses tires...you don't see more tires than cars do you?...that would just be silly.
And to be perfectly honest...I've always liked and supported this site and OD+ any way I could...and I see all the talk about community...but you know...I just don't feel it that much anymore...and definitely no support from OD+ other than to post some of my backgrounds on the main site (since after all...that's what OD+ is about...backgrounds...right?) ...but not in the library for it...which still baffles me. They should just post some png images since they get the most support anyway.
Anyway...just stating some obvious observations...I don't want this turning into some big whinefest...which its not...I'm just fed up and venting...so don't take it there.
More like "we are" the sub category or afterthought...it just doesn't make any sense to me...but what do I know. And again Zubaz...they shouldn't have to hunt for them. Thanks for making my point again.

For future references...anyone interested in dock backgrounds created by me should bookmark My Gallery page or add me to they're watch list....which is a good way to watch for any updates of your favorite artists or creators...
I'm moving my docks to my "personal pages" since they are not being supported in the OD+ library...so I am surrendering the OD+ library to the icon/pngs...because as everyone knows...when you think OD+ plus you think icons/pngs.

Come on guys. i for one would love to see a section for backgrounds, it would help highlight other background creators like cavan1, zakai, scottish etc.
Plus i really do see what WG is trying to say, whats the point in uploading to the community when the community wont know his work is there.
Is it really that hard to make a section for dock backgrounds that is visible to the WC user?
Theres a section for google gadgets and objectbar which has hardly anything in them. And 2 sections for logon vista and for xp, while dock backgrounds has to suffer in the little arrow domain which i wasnt even aware of until tonight.
They have contributed a shedload of content for OD, give them a little something for all their hard work eh. Go on.....

ayuh, that's what I do. WG was the first one I added to my watch list.

I agree 100%!....and I've been asking for that for some time now...but the powers that be have made it clear thats not gonna happen.
Agreed ... now if the watch list can be fixed so we can easily find the docks without wading through someone's 10 or 15 variations of the same dock icon...
For now, bookmarking the skin pages of certain dock making individuals ... you know who you are

Removing your previous work doesn't make anything better and in fact, makes things worse. It's been pointed out over and over again that backgrounds have a sub catagory. For those who are interested in only docks they can remove anything but.

Unless you are "protesting" why would you want ot remove all yoru great work? And if "protestign" do you think it this method will really influence the powers that be?
