Skins Problem

I recently reformatted my drive. After re-installing Object Desktop programs i found that the skins downloads were not working the same. The folders contian no skin windowblind skin file types. Just picture images and (I believe in the place of where the windowblind skins should be) file types that are unrecognizable by Windows. Am I missing a needed program? Help!
