missing previews

For some reason I can't see the icon previews for any of items anywhere which is quite frustrating as I have no idea what the skin or object looks like before I download it. I'm sorry if this was answered somewhere else...

Firefox, but it did the same thing with internet explorer as well. Whether or not I'm logged in isn't making a difference either

hold up...i got it to work with internet explorer so I'm thinking one of my extensions [like adblock] might be comflicting with the site...

in the past this problem has been caused by ZoneAlarm, with privacy settings being set too high

| I'm confused about something, when it shows the poster information on the forums page, is it supposed to be the original author of the thread or the author of the most recent post? For me it seems like it's showing the original author, wouldn't it make more sense to show the most recent poster or is it just updating a little slowly? |
On the main forum page . . on the right it shows the time of last post . . hover over that and you get more info. Click and you go to that post.
At the bottom of the main page in the recent post section Title and original author are displayed on the left, last poster on the right. The same seems to be trur in the sub-catagories.

by [Original poster]..........[X]........by [Last poster]

I'm having the same problem, whether I view the gallery page in Firefox, Opera, or Internet Explorer. I turned off Zone Alarm protection altogether. Still no images.

I'll lay money on there being some sort of anti-spyware app on your computer thats blocking the images.
Can you list here what you're using for security apps?
[Besides ZA ...as you've listed that, though I won't rule that out just yet either ]

I'm betting the same thing, as none of my browsers will display preview thumbs on the page, so we can rule out any specific browser issues. The only security apps I have running is Z/A and AVG. AVG can't be the problem, so I'm looking into Z/A. Still trying to figure it out. If I find a solution, I'll post it here.

Check to make sure you are allowing images.stardock.com and images.wincustomize.com through.

I would reccomend downloading HijackThis and running a scan of your system. If there's anything creepy crawly hiding, you'll be able to see it in the report.

If HijackThis finds nothing, go into the ZA settings and set the internet zones to 'medium'
This should help somewhat, but as Zubaz said, [also settings] set to allow the things he stated above.
You could also [briefly] set everything in ZA back to 'default' settings, and work your way upwards from there. Changing a setting at a time, work your way up a notch ~checking WinCustomize each time till you find the setting that blocks the pics, then bring it back one notch.
That should fix it.
