Color Change Favorites

Hi,
I am really a newbie and I don't even know what the area is called, but when you bring up the favorite links box on the left hand of the screen it is white, unlike the rest of my desktop. I am using Windowblinds and I can't find a way to change the color in this area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
