If you are a prayerful person, we could use some prayers

Monday, March 27, 2006 by ZubaZ | Discussion: Community

My littlest girl was burned last week. We could use some good thoughts.

a shocking & heartstopping incident to be sure Aaron....I am sure w aesthetic treatments currently available along w 'burn medicine', your little one should make a full & complete recovery, but I can only imagine the angst & worry you as a father would have...all the best to you & your loved ones during these extenuating circumstances

I might have been away a lot lately, but I was here long enough this time to let you know that your beautiful daughter is in my family's prayers.

I am very sorry to see this. I know first hand about fires. My parents house burned down with them, my brother and his family in it. I was glad to see her smiling already. Kids are very resilient. You can count on my prayers.

clwoods: I am so very sorry for your loss. Miriam's burns may be painful but they will heal and any scarring can be repaired. We consider ourselves very lucky/blessed that it was only as bad as it was. We (here at WC) are also lucky/blessed to have you here with us.

initiatedsean441, sandpiperw, Sembetu: Thank you for thinking of us. Susan (my wife) and I are pretty stressed. We probably hurt more than she does. We'll know more about scarring this Friday when we meet with the plastic surgeon. He saw her when she was super-swollen and couldn't tell us much then. -=sigh=-

Cathy : now wonder you are such a sensitive, thoughtful, caring & decent person;I cannot imagine dealing w a loss like you have sustained - loss like that either makes people more magnamimous, like yourself, or very bitter - not only the loss of so many loved ones at one time but in that manner is beyond the pale of imagining....my heartfelt acknowledgement to you....may the years ahead be kinder for you

Fondest Regards From Atlantic Canada,

Scott

Thank you for your very kind words. Please forgive me. I'm sorry I gave you the wrong impression and feel terrible that it sounded as if they didn't make it. They all did, but my niece lost a leg and was burned over 85% at 3rd and 4th degree. The rest were not as bad, but it was a very long haul. Many months in the UNC burn center here in North Carolina. My niece is now a monther of 3!! She was 3 when it happened. I won't go into the rest of the damage she or the other members of my family suffered, but know that it is a genuine miracle that are alive. Prayer works. I am glad you have that and your great attitude. They will take you far. All will turn out good. God Bless!

To Scott, I beleive you were talking to me, but my name is Cindi. My deepest apologies for not making my statement more clear.

Thanks again for all the prayers. I've added today's picture. It's amazing how much better she is. Coming home from work and into the house I am filled with joy that she is healing so quickly.

Im so glad for you that she is doing very well.. I had the same thing happen to me when I was about her age, only it was a coffe mug full of instant lipton soup...It was no where near as much as she though...Ill keep you in my prayers too, and keep taking good care of it...Im pretty sure there will be no permanent physical scars...But it will be a little pink for a bit...Take care and keep safe..

My family's prayers are with you as well.

My little boy seen the picture of your girl and he is very worried about her. He can see now how careful one has to be.

She looks like she has amazing strength considering what happened.

Good luck.

Thanks Cindi, CoreyJames, aimzz. Looking back throurh these post I noticed I didn't thank a bunch of folks. I'm sorry I missed you. I am very thankful.

CoreyJames, What's your son's name? I'l tell Miriam that he was worried. She'll love it even if she doesn't exactly get it.

Today she said her "face is better". I dig that.

She looks really good today. I'm a little concerned about the spot over her right eye

Hey Z...she's looking better and better.
Looking at the shots...comparing #30 to 34 & 38...the area above the nose at the brow line looks like it's healing and clearing well. Kids are resilient. I'm betting the area over the right eye will follow suit.
