Moving CursorXP

Saturday, March 25, 2006 by pmulcahy11b | Discussion: CursorFX

CursorXP was actually the first part of Object Desktop I bought, about 2 years ago or so. I now have one subdirectory in Program Files with almost all of my Object Desktop stuff -- and another for Cursor XP. If I move the CursorXP directory to the Object Desktop Folder, will it hurt anything? Or perhaps should I reinstall CursorXP, placing it in the Object Desktop subdirectory?

The best way is uninstalling (backing-up your themes)and reinstalling to the new location

There is also a geeky way:

AT YOUR OWN RISK

I already tested it, you can.
If you know how to manipulate the registry, modify the key, actually the key is in :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Stardock\CursorXP\Dir(String)
(change it to your new CursorXP location)

If you will modify yor registry, backup first!!

Thanks! I think I'll try the Registry edit; it's simpler and I'm not a newbie to Registry edits. Oh, and BTW, I apologize for the accidental double post.
