Note to self; do not advertise my site here.
Uh..checked it out. It's as about generic as you can get. No pictures/graphics, not even for the 'vista icons'. Don't know who's going to download something they can't even preview. Not to be sarcastic, but I did better 10 years ago using html code and geocities through my webtv.

i got permission from kudesnick to use his icons with mine.

I looked.
It's pretty horrendous as a site....and particularly as a site related to 'skinning'.
There is a universal expectation that a site related to graphics will actually HAVE graphics...AND be graphically competent.
This one was not.

2. Put your major content on the first page. Right now it looks like you have nothing to offer on your site.
3. Previews of what you're working on, what you've made etc. You don't need to show all 850 icons, but you need to post screenshots etc.
4. Content! Posting links to other sites and providing no content of your own makes look like you didn't put any thought or effort into the site.

Here's a tip that might make it easier to "advertise" your site here. Give us some information, give us a story that makes us WANT to see your blog. Sell it with your personality, and you'll probably get more visitors. The best way to generate good traffic is to convince us it's worth the trip.
Also, take the tips that others are giving you. Critics can be your best friends, because they see things from a perspective you don't.

If you want to grab someone's interest you need to have something...anything to look at. Nothing makes me move on faster than having to click on a link just to get another link. No offense...but have you ever surfed the internet? What gave you the impression that a few links on a page could be called a website? You need to do some "major" updates...add some previews at least ao when someone clicks on your links they have something to see.

I updated it, it now has screenshots.

It looks like you just used an ordinary template for your site design. Everyone needs a place to start though, I suppose.
You should go look at some more innovative websites for some inspiration. There's a place called coolhomepages.com I heard about that has, well, 'cool' homepages. If you're using a program like Dreamweaver, view the source of a page you like and copy it to the HTML editor. Look at what they do, but don't steal.
I'm suddenly happy that I never shamelessly advertised my site here. I'm scared of what you all would say.
