Time for 'Another' Contest
Spring, GUI Champs, and Galactic Civilization II

So, the spring has come; GUI Champs are goin to be started soon, and Long awaited Galactic Civilzation II has been laucnhed. To add more thrill and joy, We are goin to arrange 'another' WC Community Skinning Compition. The expected categories are WndowBlinds and IconPackager and the theme of this compition will be 'Spring.' The Winners of Each category i.e. the first place winners will get Galactic Civilization II. The tentative start date will be 1st of April (the date has no connection with April Fool 
)
The rest of details are being finallized and here I urge you fellows to express your thoughts and tell us how can you be help-full. Curently we are looking for some sponsors and judges. If you are willing to be a judge or sponsor, please email me ([email protected]). Remember, you 'must' be atleast JourneyMan or senior if you wish to be a judge.

It all depends upon the addition of sponsors .. !!! Give us few .. CXP will be here definitely

NT -- I have just anticipated that they are coming sooon ... very soon .. !!!
and for the second thing, you have mentioned -- I had asked the emails for some reasons .. !!

I can't speak for the skinners but it seems to me that if the GUI championships are to be started soon, a contest for wb skins may not be such a grand idea right now. That's just my opinion and I may be wrong. I was wrong once before when I thought I wasn't right but I really was.

Perhaps mentioning anything about "GUI championships", without any official information about it and ass-u-me'ing it, was not a good idea.

i never said the GUI's were around the corner. i said "if". i have no 'inside info'. BX is the one who stated they were starting soon. i assumedhe has some prior intel that i am not privy to. all i'm saying is "if" the GUIi's are to be held within the next few months, running a contest that includes WB skins right now would be the equivalent of playing in the JV game and then being too tired and spent to suit up for Varsity. that's a bad analogy, i know, but i know what i meant

My comments were targeted towards the initial forum title post which mentioned the "GUI Champs" and "starting soon" as not being a good idea to mention without some official information.

I think things have started to towards wrong side. Actually, I have some money and was going to purchase a copy of GC-II for myself but then I thought that If I could do something for the promotion of the community to which I belong ... so I thought of this contest (inittialy there was only one prize but thanks to some very generous friend that now contast has been grown three categories) and decided to give the winner of a copy of GC-II.
This was the second cause of the contest.
So far, two contributions for GC-II, One contribution for ODNT Subscription, One contribution for Premium Suites, and A hand-full of judges have been gathered ... !!!
So CursorXP/DesktopX can be added to the contest.
