Missing TaskBar

Thursday, March 9, 2006 by BlackSlime | Discussion: Stardock Support General

I was in class and had my notebook on battery power typing up a PowerPoint alongside my Professors presentation. Everything was running fine. I thought I had all my problems fixed. Up until 30 of battery life left I start getting the battery alarm which I thought I turned off (did not hit the apply button), and it is really loud. I am not very fast with my mouse pad so I just hard shut off the computer to save everyones ears and attention during lecture. I held down the power button to shut it straight off not letting Windows log out and save my settings.

Now I am back in my dorm and turn my notebook not expecting to see this.

What happened and what can I do to fix it?

I can still get to my start menu with the flying windows key, but my taskbar is gone, and my ObjectDock is messed up.

Someone help.

in the configurations there is an option to hide the taskbar,
just uncheck it and your taskbar should reappear.
