| seems there is an Australian pie company called Four'N'Twenty...brings to mind the nursery rhyme..."4 and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie"... |
That's where it comes from...the name.
Factory is about 1/2 mile from my place...

Any Aussie pie has more meat 'content' than that poor excuse for a steak I had in Paris 30 years ago....
"How did you find your steak, sir?"
"I moved 2 peas and there it was."
Seriously...if it were thicker I would have put a stamp on it and sent it back to the chef....airmail....
Nuveau Quisine? Overpriced food for wankers.....

| We have a "pie" here...called Shepherds pie... flakey piecrust on top and bottom...inside are hunks of beef, carrots, potatoes and gravy...actually you can put almost any kind of veggie inside!!! mmm good!! |
I have had that and it is *excellent, more of a midwest US dish, you dont see it too often on the west coast...
