roll back to wb4.6.......

hello everyone...well, even after all the posts about wb5, I thought I would try it.So I did a fresh format and xp home install, so there would be nothing to go wrong, and downloaded the trial version from stardock. Now after 5 hours of fighting just to get my start menu to open... I was using the amazing gt3 skin (btw)...I uninstalled wb5 and now looking to go back to wb4.6...it was just more stable...some of my favorite skins wont work in wb5, "anai" for example worked very well on wb4 but not onwb5 and I did try some of the wb5 skins.I'm really trying to appreciate wb5. and before anyone askes...yes I did reboot before applying anything... . So now I no longer have wb4.6...and I dont want to believe that I'm going to lose out on enjoying my favorite skins.I have seen and read and tried almost all of the suggestions in the forums. And to my bitter dissappointment, nothing worked.it (wb5) was just instable and I cant seem to go back to wb4.6. it's all wb5 now. So, needles to say my hearts broken. I met some really great people here and I really dont want to walk away from the community so,any feed back is appreciated.....thank you in advance...

what's your graphics card situation? onboard or seperate?

wb4 works awsome...lol it even ran gt3 for wb5 just like it was for wb4....

i hate to say it but you're most likely out of luck. WB5 has a MEGA hard time with onboard graphics. you should check into what graphics cards or...if any...onboard chipsets are supported. you may need to splurge on a better graphics card. you need to have a card that supports "per-pixel alpha"

times are changing my friend...onboard graphics aren't really good for anything other than running basic windows.

I make sure that the drivers are up to date and all is well. Why do some onboarders work and some not?
