Hello,
I also have Vista x64. I tried to install stardock Virutal Desktop, but it doesn't appers on the toolbars.
Any soluiton from Stardock to this problem?
I'm paying a year subscrition for quite a long time, so I would like to have this app working on Vista x64

Same here... I'd love my products to work... but it looks like all of us brave 64bit users are being punished for keeping up with the latest. This isn't the only application that is not working under 64bit OSs and I'm having my doubt they will change it. It's not a "major" application they will make big money on.

Ditto. I guess the StarDock folks are too busy stroking their egos to make this product work on systems made in THIS century.
If you just want virtual desktops, Codeplex has a nice free one codeplex.com/vdm ... and you can have the source code as well.

32-bit will in 3-5 years be, what Windows98 is now. NOT SUPPORTED. 64-bit is by far not as much a minority OS anymore as you think. Since 2008 one out of every 3 Vista purchases is 64-bit, because it's Microsoft most stable (client side) operating system todate. All their server platforms are 64-bit. Not being a M$ fanboy or so, but people should stop being so ignorant. M$ isn't as bad as it used to be!
64-bit has numberous advantages over 32-bit and it's only the developers that can't afford the extra cost on programers for 64-bit code that are slowing down the progress. Some of those developers simply think it's not worth it, which I think is pretty nerrowminded. That kind of thinking is what causes incompatabilities.
But whatever... who am I to judge the big boys. I'm just a customer anyways, right?!

I just bought a new budget PC for 399 at frys. It has Vista64. Any chance on getting this to work now that 64bit is main stream?

It has been over 2 years now - come on Stardock - you know you can do it ! 
We would really love to get 64-bit support !
If not - mind be good idea to add the famous "This verson of OS is not supported" sign - so people dont install software that does not work.

My understanding is SD Virtual Desktops is discontinued.
It is not part of OD standard or Ultimate.

Its not doing bad for a discontinued product then with beta 2.09c[a].010 being released on 16/12/08 and appearing in the OD ultimate desktop list. Not that it works with x64 still

Virtual Desktop totally sucks I was using "Desk Spaces" before now and I think I will return to it. I think Stardock have really oversold this whole Object Desktop pakage it is not half as good as the company states! As they say here in Ireland "Buyer be ware" Happy St. Patrick's day!

True, I do have access to it. But running 64 bit Windows 7, I'd expect applications that _are known_ not to work with 64 bit systems to be _hidden_. Thanks.

Well I just bought OD yesterday and it appeared in my software list along with some other software that doesn't work
(RightClick). Like the above poster said, I'd rather discontinued/incompatible software stay hidden or at least pop up
a message box saying it's not compatible with my windows (Win7 x64). Now I spent a good hour trying to figure out
why it didn't work till I finally came to the forums and did a search.
