Help with IconX

Wednesday, February 8, 2006 by ama02 | Discussion: Icons

I've had IconX for a while (downloaded through ODNetwork) but never used it..until now. So, I'm new at this. I have updated to the latest version.

I have 5 icons on my desktop, 3 of which were changed to Apogee using default theme in IconX, but 2 icons now have an old "window" look. I have tried to change them (right-click, IconX Item Properties) by selecting "External Image" and navigating to my own .ico files, but that doesn't change the icons. How do I get IconX to accept my custom icons?

I just changed my 'new folder' on my desktop to a png and an ico using external image and it worked both times.

Thanks for the reply...

I think the problem was with the particular icons I was trying to use...I opened them in IWS and exported them to png format, and now they are showing up.
