I like dark skins, but they are usually too dark, and even skins that aren't designed dark often make the workspace background something other than white.

Bravo! I love the micro grid pattern and the bent-over look of the start menu's top corners! And the peek-a-boo on the start menu too!

One problem the font colour for the menu bar for IE 8 is to light cannot see the menu, it must be a dark colour to work with IE 8's default colour

I am the one that reported this minor problem here is screen shot of my IE menu bar so you can see what I am talking about
please note look at where the cursor is and you will clearly see that the menu items are a whit greyish colour against a light background of IE 8

I do not have this problem on my PC (Windows 7) or laptop (Vista), as you can see in the screenshot, just with some of the labels.
