It wouldn't look very good on wood, but hey, to each his own. Open the blind in SKS and modify the perpixel buttons to your liking.

What OS?
Try using a different Chrome theme. Lightstar says he uses a non default Chrome theme and he doesn't see that problem.

Im new to skinning as well, was wondering , how hard is it to give the Minimize,Maximize, Close button in the top right corner a color or icon and color or something to that effect? Brown is kind of dull. I do like the traditional Red for Close (X) and green or blue for minimize and maximize.
