It should look exactly as it is in my screenshot above, there must be something wrong in your computer or try to restart with this skin on, a restart may fix your problem.

Can you apply the original Windows Vista aero theme with transparent borders?

yes my Windows Vista aero theme is transparent. all other windowblinds styles functionaly no problems.
