- it will incorporate alot of the updated elements that I've placed in Black Vista Basic v2.0 (updated start panel, updated window border colors, some fixes as per some users input, etc.)

I've been a fan of team italy since the won their 3rd cup in '82 (I was 10 but I remember the details of that tournament). The 4th world cup win by italy in the 2006 world cup was awesome. I don't think they'll have as good a tournament come the Euro tourney which is just around the corner, they're having problems qualifying. England has a great team and I'm a fan of the faster paced football that they play in the U.K., it makes the game more exciting to play an aggressive offense style rather than a controlled pace defense. England has a lot of talent on their team, it's just a matter of time until their next cup win.

I love hearing comments like that, I try not to skin for specific gender although it probably looks like it works out that way - it does seem easier to skin in blue & black & grey for some reason, I also like those colors alot. The colors in mauve boost were inspired by a few things but I think mostly due to a wicked mauve/purple paint job on a vehicle I saw on a website or magazine - the secret is out

I am working on an update to this theme, if you liked the original, I'm sure you will like the update, my skills have improved a bit since then and I've learned some new skinstudio tricks along the way, the update will include improved windowframe borders, improved min/max/close window buttons with glow effects, oversized start button, improved scrollbar arrow & thumb buttons, multiple startpanel substyles and anything else I can think of along the way.
Mauve Boost v2.0 should be out within a couple weeks - look for it.
Thanks again for the great feedback!

well, the color is similar anyway

You're getting pretty good at this!
(and I'm still using Captain America.... hehe)
Well done, and thanks for sharing.

Boxxi thanks again for the great feedback, I checked out your magenta dreams as well as your other works (I counted 80 wb skins - that is just mind boggling). I like being "brave" with the colors in a wb, I've noticed in your wb collection that you've tried quite a few different color combinations as well - I'd like to try that as well (time permitting). You're work is awesome, I'd love to have a collection similar to yours one day - so that people can look back and say that I didn't just stick with black/blue themes and that I attempted themes of every color. Mauve was a challenge, I didn't just want a solid colored windowframe so I experimented with layers to achieve the "patent pending" mauve boost effect. I think it definitely makes the skin more visually appealing to add some visually interesting effects to the windowframe & startpanel areas.
BTW - I'm glad to hear that you're still using the captain america theme, I hope I'm able to reach that bar again with my future wb submissions on this site - I've rec'd alot of great feedback on that skin, I think more than any of my other skins (possibly combined).
Jim, thanks again for the great feedback (and that great captain america screenshot), this color is definitely not mainstream but it was a nice break from the black & blue colored skins I've been working on lately.

Hi mandy77, thanks for the nice comment, I have uploaded the wallpaper I created into my personal gallery.
I've created 3 sizes: 1280x960, 1024x768 and 800x600.
You can find it at this link: WWW Link
Purrdy, users like yourself are why I create the accessories to go with the wb, thank you for downloading my skins.
I checked out your screenshot, the wb looks great in that lighter shader, you should definitely upload your screenshot to the gallery - it looks awesome!!!

Then...getting it to look good with "glass" on top of it, so it doesn't look premature is another goal to achieve.
I believe you've done both with this theme. Very nice use of the color...well done glass effects and button styles. If I could vote, I'd give it 4 stars!! Why not 5? Well...the squared Start Menu throws me off. It seems to be the only part of this theme still stuck in the year 2001. Looks to similar too Luna...and in my opinion, you've used too many "windows" flags. Start menu pic, start menu menu's background pic....etc. I like to see people shine when their theme represents themselves, and not advertising for Microsoft.
Again...though, great job!! Love the Trans button you've added to the window...nice to see more people using other aspects of WB not yet fully exploited.

I know I'm in the minority when I say this but I'm a big fan of the new vista interface and I tried to bring that through in all of my vista inspired creations such as this wb. That being said, you're probably right, that vista flag is getting used quite a bit. Plus the square start panel area could have been done differently too. Work with this color was a big challenge but it's also a fun color to work in, v2.0 of this is skin is a huge improvement over the original and I'm pretty happy with it. I agree that the "trans" button is fun to use, not very useful but good for the effect by itself. All of these wb's are a learning experience, I'm seeing what works and what doesn't and getting feedback from wincustomize user's & author's like yourself gives me the info I need to work with when attempting work on my next skins. Keep it coming, I need to hear both the good & the bad as long as it's constructive. Thanks again!!!
