An excellent skin, very creative! unusual colors, but they work well together. In a nutshell, well done!

Nice work. The fonts needed a little tweak. I changed the federation font to 11 and it looks perfect. They were too tiny before. All in all a splendid. skin. Don't know why but the screenshot doesn't do it justice.

oops, found a little problem. Check your classic colors section. Background MDI window and Background window are the same colors. They cannot be. If you have Spybot search and destroy, open that and you will see the issue. Nothing major. Many, many skinners miss that one.

Thanks Andrew Ryback and thanks Night Train. Yes, the fonts needs alot of help. I was getting tired of working on this skin and wanted to get it posted. I guess the first skin is the hardest to do. I'm getting better at it as i go along. After i posted it i notest the preview was kinda bad. I made another one to replace it. My original background colors was the army green, but the yellow Lcars graphics(music,pictures,search...) didn't look good against the green. Mybee i could put a black border around it. Thanks very much for your help. It feels great to know how to use SkinStudio now. Cant wait to start another one.

Not a bad desktop - but it is NOT LCARS.

I know. I'm not good at makeing rounded object for WB skins so i decided to work with square objects for now. My matching wallpaper,https://www.wincustomize.com/Preview.aspx?Source=HeirOfSlytherin/wallpapers/25964.jpg has that look of Lcars some what. At least my version of Lcars.

Thanks Space Dude. I hade you in mind when i made this. A long time waiteing. I was determined to figure out how SkinStudio worked by not getting discuraged when something didn't look wright the first time. I was working on alot of wallpaper projects at the time i was expirementing with SkinStudio when the unthinkable happend. I egnored the error setting warnings to many times and my PC went into a fit (and yes i was getting ready to back up my files). All i could see was only a few buttons and choped up borders. I tryed everything i could think of to restore my PC, but no luck. I lost all my saved wallpaper work of four months worth. So, i have been downloading all my own wallpapers to have on hand if i deside to do another one. My Gryffindor House and Lcars-Command wallpaper was a remake from scratch Mybee this was a blessing in diguise. Mybee i would'not have worked with SkinStudio as much if i was working on my wallpaper projects.

Hi there Heir,

What a disaster! When I world on graphics I make sure I back them up after I
finish. Best thing to do. But your LACRS Command is Excellent. I think its
fantastic. Like your color feelings. You make good color combinations. The
wall goods very good with the wb. Only a few things show up which should not
be there.

I seem to have a problem that the Start Access image is somewhat to the
right and you can see a - 's - from the original Program's dialog. And
the Run image seems to disappear and appear at the wrong times. But I Love
the wb further very much.

Don't know if the problems is caused by my pc, which I doubt?
Thought you may want to know.

Thanks Space Dude. I had alot of trouble making the AllPrograms graphics. I didn't know how to git rid of the All Programs text and highlite. After examining a few other WB skin setings, i noticed that the text was moved to the left of the screen thinking this is how it's done. maybee not, i'm not sure. That is why you are seeing the S, the last letter of the word Programs. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will add this to my fix list.

I'm the most experienced skinner out there and I don't know much of anything on how to create a skin but my windowBlinds won't load this from the .zip file. Can you possibly make it downloadable as a .wba file? I think that might solve a lot of my problems with it. Thanks.

At this time i do'not know how to make a .wba file. Copy the Lcars-Command folder in the zip to the Windowblinds folder. There you will be able to access it ether with Windowblinds or Theme Manager.

You can just change the .zip file extension to .wba. It is that simple.

A .wba file is a renamed .zip file.  By renaming it Windowblinds is associated with it and installs it automatically. [just double click].

On occasion Win XP will rename a wba back to zip in the dl process....best solution is to right-click and save-as....and check it's going to be saved as a .wba ....then you're good to go....

It seems very square and boxy. Arent the star trek thingies more rounded? Sorry- not a fan, just trying to provide useful feedback. Also I recommend you make your max/min etc buttons more like lcars borders (the bit on the middle right on the wallpaper in your pic. I think that would look cool.

Thanks kin242. This is my first WB skin i have ever made. I was more interested in making a almost complete working theame. So i started with the boxie look (easyer to work with square objects for me) letting the matching wall give the feal of LCARS. I am experimenting with rounded graphics in another WB project and it is looking good. My first attempt was quite bad. I hope to remake this skin or do a hole new design some time soon.

Being a Trekkie, I like this, I like it a lot; I look forward to the Wb5 version with per pixil shading so you can get some nice rounded windows etc.

Good work, well, done, keep it up.
