I agree with Cavan1 though. After getting the magic pink not just initially in the start-menu, but also on mousover on other buttons (eg. MenuItem), I opened your skin in Skinstudio and noticed that you used magic pink on png files and imported them into Skinstudio as tga. Magic pink will not work on tga files. If you open those items in photoshop and save them as bmp's and then import them back into the skin, everything will look fine.

Sometimes you need to sacrifice what you think looks good for something that may "work" better.
I agree, the skinn look really cool but is hard to read in some applications parts like firefox tabs for exemple.
A good alternative is add sub-styles with light colors (but only if you think you have too)
Tips:
* try set the "classic taskbar button colors and fonts and the "menu item" disabled font and color
* the menu item for the pull down menus don't look disabled cause it show a white shadow, you could use a color
almost equal of the background but a little bit lighter to look like the text is inseted on the menu and use a
grey for the text color.
Only my personal opinion but the skins is awesome, congratulations

Thanks, does everyone want me to fix the pink?
Yes please
Got it around buttons, too. Though I already tweakedfonts and colours for my personal use to make it more readable some
lighter substyles would be great as Danillo mentioned above. At least
it's worth a thought, don't you think ?
Otherwise as already written ^^ a really awesome skin.

And I also agree with the skins factory and it would be great if you could fix it for us to enjoy
even more this great skin.

I am also getting magic pink in the start menu button, regular window buttons (e.g. OK, Cancel, Apply), and the top buttons (Minimize, etc.) It would be really great if you could fix that. However, i have the free version of WindowBlinds 4.6; im not sure if thats the reason for this or not.
I have also seen in the start menu button only, the glow effect flickers if i keep my cursor on it for a little bit. Anybody else experience that?

anyways awesome skin probably one of my favorites right now, I haven't noticed a thing wrong with it. It's hard to find a good dark skin let alone a great one, good job.Comment #56 Thursday, September 15, 2005 11:28 PM
Very beautiful skin and this is what really counts
Which is what I intended on doing. Unfortuantly I cannot fix the Magic Pink problem... Mainly because, to me it's unheard of. I don't have it, my good friend doesn't have it on his, a few other people I know. It's bizzare how people are getting this error. The only way I can assist everyone is by people sending me emails with screenshot of this problem attatched. My Email is [email protected].

doesn't look like your screenshot of the skin
Well, let me say this one time, and one time only. That screenshot I made was designed to show the idea of the glow. Not the actual glow. I can't make a screenshot like that if the glow goes past the boarder of the image. So I add a glow instead. I'm sorry if this wasn't what you were expecting. And yes, those pictures appear like what they do on my computer. Sorry for the inconvienience

But the glow in the screenshot looks so much better than the actual glow!!! It looks so cool!!!
It's not possible to make an actual glow like the one in the screenshot?Oh, i think i already told you this before, but i also get a flicker in the start button glow as well. I cant post a screenshot because the flicker is random and i cant time it right. I'm not sure how that can be fixed.

Also, i think it would be great if WMP, Winamp, and Trillian skins could be made, following what the screenshot says. Maybe even some DesktopX widgets/themes. That would add the finishing touch to my Radiate Style.
