It's minimal in it's own way. (ie.: it minimises the usable workspace). Besides, it was named after the original desktopX theme, wich is truly minimalistic.

i won't repeat the "non-minimalistic" comments, but it seems true enough. I personally have a thing against skins which take up unneccessary space, both on the desktop and window. It is a great design, I love the edge ratchet-thingies. But maybe you could change the titlebar so the text isn't on top of a design like that, it is quite distracting. It seems out of place. I don't think it would hurt the charm of the skin if you removed the line on the title bar. Creative start menu too.
