I know it's a bit over stylised. I wanted to be bold with the Chill's, but then needed to set them. I kinda liked the idea of of turning the background into a simple packaging image, with the text represented as a produce logo/brand. The idea was that the shading/angle of the text side, compliments the angle of the chilli's, to suggest an edge/corner of a box/carton. I decided the thread should be reasonably organic, so preferred to give it the habit of something more similar to a vine, rather than just passive string being tugged at by the weight of the produce. The stalks, I deliberately left rough to offset the extreme almost plastic shine on the chilli's. I also wanted the text side to have enough weight to balance the chilli's, but still be sufficiently muted to accept icons, widgets etc..

I love this look, and your shading/angle is dead on, so is the color of the *box*....I also love the vibrancy of the chili's ...possibly the biggest drawback to it being a successful *wallpaper* is the text....even very small text people don't seem to cotton to. I love it the way it is, I can see this poster size hanging on the wall!!
