Silverish monotone looks great.
I think the only thing I'd do is try to make that glow around the aliens face slightly colored-say a light red or purple.
And maybe add some small flames and smoke to the bottom of the wallpaper,with some transparency so they don't intrude too much on the general theme,to add some pizazz when the menus aren't up.
