Its all about balance my friend. Like gender one does not exist without the other. Yin and Yang, opposites,think of our universe as the positive and the antimatter as a negative (mirror if you will)image of our own. Between is a void that contains the energies to keep them both in check. This energy, tentatively known as Dark Energy, forms the pivot around which both universes revolve. Should they come into contact (as they sometimes do over trillions of years)the result is a 'Big Bang', the evidence of which can be found in the measurements taken of the 'CBR', cosmic background radiation, a leftover from the 'Big Bang' that gave rise to our little neck of the woods.
