Nice ruler.
Possible enhancment (for those of us with failing vision); magnify the area under the cross-hairs to get finer grain control.

Fantastic Job very useful and looks good to. I agree with Zubaz that would help ..

Looks very nice. It'd be nice if it also displayed the distance between the two points in a strait line.

Thomas: I thought about that, but would would be the purpose of it?

A magnifier proof of concept is in for moderation. Keep an eye on the widgets section. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the a very useable app. Another idea is to control the x and y with nudge arrows on the read out. Just a thought.

No problem!

Rednose... what would be the goal?

thoughtful addition:

i don't know the formula, but would it be possible to calculate the angle between two points?

i love being able to put the two points down and find out the length and width of a window or shape - but angle measurement would be something else into getting accuracy, and to help in drawing/aligning things.

and building on that:

what if you could add multiple points and determine the area? lengths and widths between adjacent points, and the overall space they polygon. not sure exactly where that might come in useful outside of drafting, but still fun none the less.

When planning out a skin; Point to Point, I find it a little difficult to move the mouse to an exact point. Such as zero position on the y axis. I think it would be a good programing tool to use the mouse, then the nudge tool to get the exact reading for placement of objects.
Thanks for the responce!

DC, that may be cool! I'll think about that some more. ( This month is gonna be way too busy! All these projects PLUS diploma exams! )

Rednose, sounds like DC's suggestions would give me a change to incorporate your idea as well.
