I showed a friend of mine the bootskin collection on this site and some of my stuff, he told me we should be selling these bootskins instead of "giving them away free", I told him yeah, there's a big untapped market for selling bootskins. �

I agree. We can put out some "Premium Skins".
And you're definately correct. If they weren't free, the Download activity would be pretty much well stagnant.

converting is not as easy as it sounds, you still have to add a progress bar and you do a more thorough job of converting them to 16 colors than most people. Heck some people use the image preparation tool that comes with skinstudio to render down their bootskins - you do good work, don't sell yourself short just because of what Yrgal(Mygal?) said.
