i tend to agree... perhaps it's a left over from the design process...?? In anycase, it would look tons better without it... �

It's an idea that I've wanted to try out for quite some time adding a color bar showing the 16 colors used in a bootskin and it's somewhat different from other bootskins in that regard, I don't think anyone else has added this effect to their bootskins. I don't think it looks ugly, in fact I think it looks pretty good during boot-up, and the user has an exact idea of the 16 shades of color that were used in the bootskin image.
If there is enough demand for it, I would create the same bootskin without the colorbar & upload to the site.
