Update question
Friday, November 18, 2005 by ama02 | Discussion: Stardock Support General
Also, problem with SDC:
I had tried to uninstall SDC (via Control Panel) to install the latest version but it kept hanging at the start of uninstall...it wasn't able to find sdmcp.exe inside the Stardock folder (it's located in my common files folder), so I instead updated SDC by allowing it to update itself at launch. Is this a common problem? Should I be placing a copy of sdmcp.exe into the stardock folder?

There have been many updates to WindowBlinds 5 since the initial release. Beta 2 (4.95) marked a milestone in the beta development cycle. 4.96b is the latest update, but is still considered Beta 2.
If the SDC uninstall hangs, hold CTRL+SHIFT and press ESC. Click the "Processes" tab and click "Image Name" to sort the list by name. Select SDMCP.exe and click "End Process" and then click "Yes" on the messagebox that pops up. You should now be able to uninstall Stardock Central.
