White Jagged edges around my Icons

Sunday, November 13, 2005 by hotrod11 | Discussion: Stardock Support General

I've been using ObjectDesktop with WB, IP, ObDock, IconX, DesktopX. And I'm ALWAYS fooling with my computer. Recently I noticed my icons have a jagged white border around them. It's on my icons in my quicklaunch bar and on my desktop (before IconX Loads during bootup or when I shut IconX down, but not after IconX is running.) And I can see it around some of my icons on my tabs on my taskbar. On my taskbar it appears that is only happening around the non-standard Icons I have changed with IP. I've changed several IP's and any icon that is not original to Windows XP or to that particular program has the jagged white edge.

Any ideas.

Are you saying that you're only encountering this issue when IconX is not running?

What are the versions of the programs you're running: OS(including service packs), IconPackager, IconX?

Could you supply a screenshot to help illustrate the problem?

AH, I found the problem. When I went looking for the exact version of WB5 beta I'm running, I found the troubleshooting page, somehow I had switch my display settings to 16bit instead of 32bit. Problem solved. Thanks.
