Changing Icons

Sunday, October 23, 2005 by coffeeswirlz | Discussion: Windows XP

I know how to change icons through 'folder options-file types' but I want to change the icon for the default Photoshop icon that appears after you save something. I can't find the file. I know I can change it after it appears on my desktop but I wanted to set it to a different icon. Also, is it possible to have it set to display an icon of my choice when I select new-folder, instead of changing it after the default appears on my desktop.
Thanks!

IconPackager is capable of the customizations you want to perform.

I am not aware of any Windows utility or applet that will allow you to set the folder image without creating the folder first, and I have not found any way to change the ".psd" file saving behaviour using windows either (but this one I have not made an exhaustive attempt on).

There may be someone who is more familiar with changing the ".psd" icon to a permanant image used when saving. Hopefully that person (or those persons) will drop by.

I use IconPackager full version, and really would not want to go without - even when I am running the default Luna shell style.
