Installing problem

Ok, I found this really cool set of icons that I loved but when I tried to install it, I got this error saying, "No icon package was found in C://Program files/Stardock/Object Desktop/Iconpackager/Themes/Encoded. Please try again with a different package." Although, it is!! Im not getting this! Someone please tell me the correct way to install a package.

First of all, do you have the Icon Packager program? If you don't you can get it here
https://www.wincustomize.com/software.aspx If you do, then it could be a bad download. Sometimes the icons aren't packaged right and there is nothing there. In that case you want to let the maker of the icons know about it so they can fix it. Or if you downloaded it with IE6 you should do it again, but this time change the .zip to .ip before you actually download it. Then just double click it and it will automatically download to the program.

I have the program and I tried downloading the "featured download". Oh and before I go further, when I do "Open with Icon Packager, it opens up the program but doesnt have the pack in the My packs section. I guess I will try and install others. Do you have AIM or MSN to discuss this on?

Oh and im using Firefox.

Edit: I dont get this, im trying to download the "Featured Package" but when I download and choose "Open with...IconPackager", it brings me to the Icons and Cursors part of the program. It doesnt install it or anything. It might of made a folder in the /themes folder but it didnt install it. Please help me, I really want to use Encoded and Lunalt

No, I'm sorry I don't use any messenger services. What version of IP are you using? Some of the newer icon packages won't work on an older IP version. The latest one is version 3. That could be your problem. If that is not it, I won't be able to help you. But, I'm sure someone will come along who can.

You might try downloading by Right-clicking the download link > select "Save target as.." > use the "Save as type: drop-down list in the Save as dialog to select "All Files" > save to My Documents. This will maintain the original file extension, and should prevent any possible corruption.

After download completes, double-click the file to load Icon Packager, then click the Apply button.

Both the packages you mention are for IconPackager Version3, and as indicated by clwoods, you will need the recent version of IconPackager to apply those themes.

Open the IP program, click on help and then about Icon Packager.
