Everyone show us your home computing rig.  Here's what I've got going at my house.  I have two PCs connected up using Multiplicity.  One is a P4-3.4 Ghz Dell gaming setup and the other is a P4-2.8Ghz Dell black box.  Both ahve 2 gigabytes of memory on them (I do a lot of video editing and such).

Dual Boot: WinXP (Yuck, but Stardock makes it better) Fedora Core 4 (Linux, with a FC5 kernel, including KDE 3.4, Window Translucency effects (from composite), OOo 2.0 beta, etc.)

AMD Duron .9 GHz
256 RAM
20 GB HDD
DVD Drive

Dark Star - out of curiosity why did you switch from a AMD setup to an Intel setup? Sold yourself short methinks...

Also I noticed not alot of people have DVD writers...

Almost forgot to upload the office shot.
Here's my Sony Vaio VGN-A690 in it's docking station
It's running 1920x1200
Above that is my 20" Flat Panel on DVI I got from Dell.
What you can't see is my newest toy - the Dell Precision 380 P4 3.0GHZ, 2mb L2 800mhz, 1 Gig Ram 533mhz Raid 1 (180GB)w/128mb PCIe x16 ATI FireGL V3100
I'm currently using it as a Server while my network guy comes up with a shopping list for a dedicated server, switches and wireless access point. I just added 2 more positions bringing staff to 12 and the Linksys stuff (G router, B router and 8 port) just can't keep up.
You may not believe it but both my desks are more orderly than usual

I've had a great time looking at other peoples set ups. Yep, we're all a bunch of geeks

This is a picure taken of my set up over a year ago. I won't bother you with the specs, it's not half as good as some of the above. Anyway, it's all now been cleared up into the attic as this room is now my 13 month old sons room. Which is the main reason I don't have time to spend on the computer I once used to. I now spend what spare time I have on my new Sony Vaio laptop A series. (just like the one in the above post, but without the dock)

Here's my current desk at home. I'm sure this setup will be similar once I ship off to my dorm Please excuse the brightness issues, my camera's flash is acting funky and I had to fix the pictures in Photoshop.

I'm a bit tired to list the specs now, but I will once I move in. Take a look at my little collection of comics if you can...(Big pictures, btw)

Dr. Nick, the specs are unimportant. Only your education is important. Get it!! It's the one thing that can never be taken away from you!
