IP update broke .exe's AGAIN

Sunday, May 29, 2005 by werewolf | Discussion: IconPackager

Doesn't look as though things get looked at much here, but here goes anyway.

I installed the newest version of Icon Packager using SDC and this is what happened...This is what always happens when I update IP

Notice the .exe files and the .dll files. Not what they are supposed to be are they. System wide, none of the executables are showing their internal icons. This ALWAYS happens. Yes, that screenshot was taken after 'Rebuild Icon Cache' and 'Repair Icon Images' and everything else. Have also lost the ability to configure icons in the context menus. Looks like, once again, I will have to completely uninstall and reinstall this app...again.

Did you try rebuilding your icon cache?

yep.
fixed. Uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled. Not as painful as I led on...sorry, just very frustrated at having to do this everytime.
