Send HTML Forms setting

Thursday, February 3, 2005 by Essencay | Discussion: Internet

So I tried to do the poll question on CyberiaPC.com http://www.cyberiapc.com/ and I couldn't. Instead I got the following dialog warning message.....

Your current security settings do not allow you to send HTML forms.

I'm using IE6 on WinXP SP2, using these monitoring programs: Spybot S&D; MS Antispyware Beta; Norton's Internet Security 2005, have installed IE-SPYAD and XP's firewall diabled. All the above are with the latest patches or updates. I tried the poll question again with all three of these monitoring programs diabled and still got the same message. What do I need to change in my IE6 security settings to be able to send HTML forms? I'm thinking that this has happened since I installed IE-SPYAD. Any clue? Any help? Thanks.

I'm just guessing, but it might be that your IE settings are so high that it doesn't allow you to use unsecured/unencrypted forms.

Have a look in your Security Tab in Internet Options, click "Custom Level..." and locate "Submit nonencrypted form data". If that is set to disabled, then that could be the problem. If not you might want to have a look at the other options in IE or your IE SPYAD. My guess is that IE-SPYAD has set your IE security setting very high.

Hiya thomassen. That option is enabled. I tried what I thought were similar type of polls at a couple of other sites. Only that site has the issue so far. Could be that IE-SPYAD put the site in as a restricted site? There's like 8,000+ sites in restricted and no search function I was more worried about having difficulty browsing in general, but if it's only one site, I guess I won't worry. Thanks.

SNK, maybe your security settings are blocking it because it's sending the information to a different domain. The poll you are refering to in on Cyberiapc.com while the form is being sent to this address: http:// vote.sparklit.com/poll.spark?pollID=714420

That's it. Thanks paxx. IE-SPYAD has put *.sparklit.com on my restricted list.
