The Big On/Off Switch

Frequently I need to run things - games, benchmarks - where I need to have available all the power my PC can give. It would be really useful if someone could write a widget that you can click and it will see what OD stuff is running and then close it. The next time you click it, it would run all the applications it closed last time. It would be useful if you could edit (in an options menu or something) which OD applications it closed, too. eg. WindowsBlinds doesn't really slow things down.
Could anyone do this? Would anyone except for me find it useful?

I did the same. I made one for "low power" which has nothing but windows itself. It's to extend battery life from 80 min to about 2 hours.
