Tiggz would have eaten you alive for that comment lol
Oh, I see it's because it's colorized. Get some glasses?
Seriously now, normally you would have to change the theme itself, but you can also open Preferences, go to the Themes tab, click Fonts button, select each line of text related to the Weather module and change its color.

What is happening here?

Ok, just fixed this with some auto-correction "magic":

Remember, many themes were made at a time when tabs could not yet be centered in the application, but some themes (those where the body of the Shelf is a separate unit from the tabs, so the body does not appear cropped at the top like in the screenshot above) can - and should - appear with empty sections at the left and right of the tabs (like in the first screenshot above).
EDIT: Just so you understand what I am talking about:

I fixed it by trying to automatically detect the latter type of themes and keeping them 'as is'. The routine errs on the side of caution though, so it doesn't get it right 100% of the time, but at least this means things like those in the first screenshot are now a thing of the past.
Something else: regardless of tab justification, I think the left and right mini-tab symbols should ALWAYS appear the extreme edges of the Shelf (unless in the special case described above of the tabs being independent from the body).
Hope I'm making sense to you guys. If not, you'll see the results for yourselves next beta. ![]()

Is anyone here interested in different monitor/screen resolution profiles for the position of docks, shelves, etc...?
This would, for instance, control what happens (or where stuff is) when you add or remove monitors.

Ok, new beta is out.
This, among other misc.additions and fixes, adds support for:
1. Invoking Grid Stacks from NextSTART.
2. Opening shortcuts to folders as Grid Stacks.
3. Automatic multi-monitor/screen resolution profiles.
4. Proper centering plus left and right justifying of tabs in themes that did not previously support this.
5. Fixed disabling menu and shelf scaling on high DPI systems not working properly.
6. Fixed the minimum width calculation allowing tabs in Drawers and Shelves to be cropped on certain themes.

Yeah, but that is an actual folder inside the Documents folder. What this relates to is shortcuts (.lnk files) to folders being treated as actual folders in this beta.

I want to apply an Object Dock skin, but I can't import it to the themes. I tried to add it as a .zip and an xtreme file. I know there are 4 folders in the zip and I tried to import each one. Didn't work.
Here's the OD theme https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/objectdock/15099/

Just tried it here, and after importing the original zip file I have four new entries (all of them functional) in the 'Dock Themes' category of the Themes tab in Preferences: Midnight_Tab1, Midnight_Tile1a, Midnight_Tile2a and Midnight_Zoom1.
I think the issue here is that you are expecting OD themes to be available under the 'Winstep Themes' category. As the name implies, that category will only show native Winstep Themes, which have (should have) skins for all Winstep objects (Shelves, docks, desktop modules, NextSTART menus and taskbar, etc...) and take advantage of all the Winstep skinning options.
3rd party dock themes only have skins for docks, therefore they only appear under the 'Dock Themes' category of the Themes tab in Preferences (or in the Themes tab of a Dock Properties dialog).
If you open Preferences, go to the Themes tab and then change the category from 'Winstep Themes' to 'Dock Themes' you should find the Midnight entries I mentioned above there. Again, 3rd party themes (ObjectDock, RocketDock, RKLauncher, etc...) only apply to docks.
This short 'How to install themes' tutorial will explain things further, especially the 'Applying 3rd party dock themes on Nexus Ultimate and Winstep Xtreme' section at the bottom.

It's Black Friday and Nexus Ultimate is 40% off. You might want to get it now if you haven't already!

Ok I got it now. I know about the drop down box it wasn't showing up before. I restarted Nexus and they showed up. After messing with it last night I now have 3 entries of each. I only see them for the docks, this doesn't work for the shelf?

No. The Winstep Shelf is currently not compatible with OD tabbed dock skins. Most likely something I will work on eventually. ![]()

I downloaded an older theme and I add the Midnight graphics to it and came up with this.

That's what can happen when you center the tabs: some themes will look fine with that option, others (like K-TEK 4D lol) not so much.
IIRC, in OD the tabs of a tabbed dock were completely separate from the actual body, but under Winstep that wasn't true, especially not in the earlier themes (now skinners can specify a whole body bitmap and overlap the tabs on it, which completely prevents that issue).
Still, there might be room for some auto-correct magic in this department too, I will have to look into it.
