Hey WinCustomize powers that be!
I realize I may be about to open a shit storm, believe me, NOT my intent. Rest assured that I'm not picking on anyone, or belittling anyone's work.
I am seeing that a large percentage of submissions lately are dreams. Most of which are jpeg animation dreams.
I find the jpeg animation dreams to be far inferior to the video and hybrid dreams. I will not download them, usually, and I'm guessing I'm not the only one who would like to see categories in the dreams library.
This said, is there any chance that we could have a subcategory for the jpeg anim. dreams? It is a true pain in the ass to have to dig through them all to find a few that are not jpeg anims. Reminds me of the days before WC split the Object Dock libraries for a similar reason.
Just asking, no ill will intended towards anyone.

I think it's a great idea, there's quite a bit of difference resource-wise between the various types - dynamic, hybrid, wmv, mpg, (don't think I've ever run one of the jpegs). It might be particularly helpful to new people trying to see which types they might want to run and then finding more of that type.

A Lot of Jpeg Image Dreams are Cool
and can be made to be more or less realistic on purpose.
You can turn them into to Fantasy types , you can highlight the good in them.
You can go HDR , Abstract, Fantasy you can make special orders for members who request
something special . etc. etc.
So there is room for all types of dreams the members have a wide interest of categories they like.
As far as breaking down into Categories that would be hard to do at this point so many
dreams have been uploaded and some dreams would fit more than one category , so LOL with that

It was done with ObjectDock backgrounds VS Dock Icons.
DesktopX Themes, Widgets, Gadgets, and Objects all have their own categories/galleries as well. No different.

In theory there may be no difference.
Here is what I see different. Lack of people that really care. There is interest for many of us but not a lot of people. You really don't skin at all anymore and have said many times you lost your interest. I think the lost of interest is do to the people that actually still comment with all the cool things said. Things would be made, WB's, DX, docks, Etc. Etc and the comment pages would be 3, 4 5 pages long with comments and fun stuff said. Now lucky something gets past one page. Be honest it does tend to have you think (us) why bother. Just my opinion on that. Another there are so many programs not available anymore so no skinning of them. Just look at the total download counts. The worst made WindowBlinds got thousands of downloads. Now look at some really good ones and they are so low along with very few comments.
Last, me and many others use to be on here at 9, 10 O'clock and the threads were still active. That in itself can make one less interest. Is skinning dead, no. but it has become very limited to what can be skinned. Again this is only my look at things but I find it hard for anyone that has been here for a long time to see it much different. I know I'm not ready to give up. Oh, take away the Dreams and there wouldn't be much being see on the top of the front page each day.So we have to see if we can make it fun again and get more skinning done or it will keep going down.

Not at all accurate for me. I lost interest in skinning because I burned out. And because DX was retired.
I skinned for me, when I skinned. Comments were appreciated, but did not influence my itch to skin either way.

Dream Categories,
Something I forgot to mention before is that when we upload Dreams
we actually select a category ( all tough only a few to choose from )
when you click on DREAMS main cat. you can click on categories to the right
and choose from the few that are there .

My point was that we'd all be better served if there was a category specifically for jpg anim. dreams. Apparently, I am not alone in that thinking.

My Dreams are all under the categorie scenery so if you guys don't like them just remove the checkbox marking and you can laugh again.
