I am windows xp, in my early years i was 95, later 98, and the change to me wasn't great... tryed to skip 2000, and join with xp. (in the meen time i runned about all linux at a other computer, an MEN ( 
ok, and elfkura) linux roks!! so here are a few things to do:
1: go buy linux.
2: bann all the micro$oft things out of your hou$e.
3: uninstall windows.
4: install linux
5: start one of your 3 web explorers (best is mozilla)
6: surf to the micro$oft site, and see how laggy windows was
serous, Indeed only objectbar, and cursor xp keeps me to stay window$
