Does it still require manual coding, or did they get smart and make an easy to use interface?

Rainmeter is far to complex to skinned in an "easy to use interface". just as an example (the position of a marker on a world map depending on coordinates and screensize):
X=((#SCREENAREAWIDTH#+32-324)+(([MeasureWeatherLon])/180*256))
Y=(250-(([MeasureWeatherLat])/90*128))
a point and click interface would actually make it harder to create such a thing.
also Rainmeter has more skinners and users than any of the "easy to use interface" apps, so they must be doing something right.

Yes...Rainy went to the school of do-it-easy-like-Litestep-does ....

Well, gave it a try and got rid of it within 10 minutes. Way too complicated.

Thanks Leo, I use Rainmeter for a few items that add value to my PC experience, and hopefully this update addresses an issue I had with mouse gestures with the Omnimo skin suite... the changelog suggests it may have.

Yes, mate I think it may have resolved those issues.............
I love this program and it certainly compliments many of the Stardock apps

Well it seems to have resolved the issue... haven't had a hop, skip or jump since installing the update..
I like using Rainmeter also, although I didn't know much about it until seeing on devART that the Omnimo skin suite was powered by it. Prior to Win 8 I wanted to experience tiles in an 8-like environment, and Omnimo provided that opportunity. Since then I have become somewhat attached to Rainmeter as a handy desktop tool.

Can you install it over the previous version or does that need to be uninstalled first. I usually uninstall an old version before installing any newer one.
