Yes I have rebooted many times. I just installed it over fences 1, while it was running. Now this feature and the other is gone for me.

Since it actually runs totally fine, I guess that those features are just not implemented anymore?

The Fences 2 installer should have prompted you to uninstall Fences 1.  Did it?

Mine did, but SDC shows both installed.

If you disable fences in the settings, all visible icons of a portal are still on the desktop and clickable/openable (only if they have been visible while deactivating Fences). Like if they are now actually placed onto the dekstop, But if you go to the desktop with the win explorer. You will only see the actuall deskop icons. Refreshing does not help.

If you delete one of those still visible portal icons (while fences is deactivated), you delete the actuall file.

I can still scroll in the area where all portal icons are (it contained more icons than it could display), like the fence still exists. Even though Fences is currently deactivated. The process is also not running in the background.

I have not done a full reinstall, but I will do it now.

EDIT: Now I fully reinstalled it. Still the same problems with portals and those two features seem to be gone. I may can exclude an whole fence from quick hide, but not single icons like it was possible with Fences 1.

The Problem with the portals are not a big deal for me, I will never deactive Fences anyway. Just did it once now to deinstall it

EDIt²: I use win7 64bit.

No, it didn't.

SDC shows Fences 1.1 only installed.

OK, I have a triple monitor system, Windows 7 64 bit.

I have tried the pages thing, and when I try to change pages by dragging from screen edge, all fences disappear.

Bug: I cannot move folder portals if I have set "Show Labels" to "Never" while I can move fences. I just put the cursor near the top margin of a fence and it changes into the four-arrow move cursor. With folder portals, the cursor doesn't change.

Hm, maybe I misunderstood the feature, but shouldn't they ?

No Carl. It should move from one page of Fences to the next.

I'm guessing this feature doesn't take multiple monitors into account.  Gonna try it on my single monitor laptop.

Each set of monitors is considered one page.  So if you have a fence on monitor one and a fence on monitor two they, together, are page one.  If you swipe, both monitors will be blank, because you are on page two.  Create fence three and fence four and swipe back to page one . . . working as designed now?

This is the details header problem that I mentioned on the beta announce post:

The three document fences (they're all folder portals) at the bottom are set to 'Details' view.  The two fences at the top are set to 'List' view.  The fences at the bottom have the following option checked:

This works when you check it first time around, but it does not persist across a reboot (need to uncheck and recheck 'Hide details header').  The top fences don't have this problem because they don't get the details header.

A separate issue is that the Fences control panel does not play nice with Windows Explorer backgrounds (for example from customisation by WindowBlinds) and ends up getting blotted out, unlike the other stuff on the control panel.

Finally, on my netbook which is running Windows 7 Starter and doesn't have WindowBlinds 7 installed, fences that are folder portals have a solid black background instead of being transparent like the examples above or the other non-portal fences.  They also sometimes clip in front of a program that is hogging the whole screen (like a web browser, for instance).

Are you using Windows classic view, or do you have a theme applied (so Aero is invoked)/

This is a WB issue that I think will be fixed in the next release.
