Personally I loved RightClick one off the reasons why I bought objectdesktop.

Interestingly you can still download the program but it wont work on anything latter than XP,

Personally I go with the times Iam a win7 user will I upgrade to 8 NO.

I like RC too (although I was more of an ObjectBar guy).

There is only so much development time that can be spent on any and all projects.  RC was not the best investment of time . . at the time.

It works on any 32bit system, even Windows 7.
The only 64bit systems it (kinda) works on is Vista.

The $64,000 question here is, just how much development would it take to make RC compatible with Win 7 x64?  Cos essentially that's all anyone is asking, to get it 64 bit ready in Win 7 and 8... no more, no less.  Updates after that???  If they were offered, yes, but first and foremost, a working version and bugger the updates if it's too much trouble.  So long as the proggie works, who gives a rat's....

And in Win 8, yeah, it's more needed there than in 7, given the GUI elements MS neglected to include.

How's about this, ZubaZ, for a possible solution:

Fix RightClick up so it works with 64bit systems - and that's it....

As for distribution it -could- be an unsupported application. Just plaster the download page with a humongous sticker saying

NO SUPPORT AVAILABLE

and direct users here, to the Wincustomize forum. There are plenty of people here willing to offer help and assistance - for free.

As for pricing?

Would 10, 15 or even 20 bucks be a fair/too high price for an unsupported application?
Personally I wouldn't give it a second thought hurling 50 bucks your way for a working RightClick.

(Would be awesome hearing Brads take on this....)

is it really running on Vista 64-bit?

if so, i'd try installing the old MS Visual C++ 32-bit runtimes before (2005, 2008 and 2010) before installing Right-Click.

(that's how i got Litestep 0.25 running on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit yesterday )

I had it running on Vista X64 up untill I got a new machine w/Windows 7 back in April.

Only "hitch" is that you have to double right click for the RightCLick menu to show up. Other than that - runs perfect.
If only just that was possible on Windows 7 as well, you wouldn't hear a peep out of me on this matter ever again.

It installs, yes, but it nukes Explorer when right clicking.

Have tried every possible compatibility mode without luck.

Not sure but you used to be able in XP to be able to replace the rightclick menu.

So you could add what you wanted  way more features they I can mention

Ive herd see further up the treed that this program works on win7X32 by right-clicking twice.

X64 only.
RightClick works fine on 32-bit.

Well, I'll be darned.... Why didn't I think that sooner.
RightClick does have a hotkey activator, and... blimey if it doesn't work that way. No more Explorer craches.
Had to reinstall RightClick to test this, and now it's staying! Woohoo!

Now I just have to figure out a way to keep the skinning tool from crashing.
Not a big issue though. Got the XP box with RightClick installed as well.

Snowman is a happier RightClick camper now!

Now all you have to do is parse the mouse right button to the hotkey and Bob's your uncle....
